Villa M was born from a vision: to transform a historic residence into a contemporary, sustainable home open to the landscape. A project that combines respect for the past and innovative solutions, balancing architectural preservation and energy efficiency.

Open spaces and natural light redefine the experience of living.
Light, space and relationships
The original closed and introverted layout is completely rethought. The house welcomes light and the surrounding countryside through new visual and spatial connections. In the center, a full-height room serves as the distributive hub and beating the heart of the residence.
The staircase as a symbol
A central architectural element, the staircase is the tangible sign of transformation: it connects levels, defines rooms and tells the story of the balance between classic and contemporary. A staircase that combines aesthetics, functionality, and memory.

A new mezzanine and double height amplify the verticality of the space.
Connected interiors, lived-in exteriors
The ground floor spaces dialogue with the outdoors through a new terrace, extending livability in the hotter months. The dining and kitchen area, separated by a movable wall, adapts to different living needs, reinforcing the fluidity of the space.

Integrated sustainability between tradition and innovation
The project combines local materials and traditional building techniques with advanced technological solutions to ensure living comfort and energy efficiency. Reclaimed elements such as wood and stone dialogue with new insulation systems, natural ventilation, and low-temperature systems.
The insertion of skylights improves lighting and activates passive ventilation, taking advantage of the chimney effect and the presence of surrounding trees for summer cooling.

Contemporary technologies and authentic materiality for conscious and enduring architecture.
In Villa M, architecture becomes a tool for responsible transformation, capable of combining beauty, memory and innovation. Sustainability is not only technical performance, but an integral part of the spatial design, choice of materials and relationship with the context. An intervention that not only reduces environmental impact, but renews living with awareness and quality, restoring meaning and life to an existing heritage.
