A Winery and a Resort in Andora: where the memory of place meets innovation and sustainability.
The redevelopment of the Stampino Estate starts with the restoration of the villa and guesthouse and extends to the establishment of new spaces for agricultural, production and hospitality activities. Each intervention is designed to enhance the historical identity of the place, respectfully integrating with the hillside landscape of Andora, in a perfect balance between historical value and sustainability and innovation strategies. The goal is to promote a model of rural hospitality linked to the territory, capable of combining experiential tourism, wine culture and new forms of sustainable work.

Architecture that blends with the landscape.
In the project, elements of architecture intersect and merge with the site’s peculiar topography in a dialogue that respects the site’s historical identity and enhances its temporal stratification. The new buildings, suspended above the ground, follow the natural rhythm of the Ligurian terraces, transforming the roof gardens into extensions of the landscape itself and creating a visual continuity between built and nature.
The project’s circular approach as a sealing
The construction site is planned to be managed in such a way to optimize the construction phases and especially to reduce the environmental impact during construction. Demolition will follow the practices of selective deconstruction, encouraging the reuse of materials where possible and initiating to recovery what cannot be reused in the project.

A bioclimatic design that emerges from analyses
Climate analyses become the starting point for a bioclimatic approach that enhances the dialogue between architecture and the environment, minimizing the use of systems and favoring natural solutions. In a tourist accommodation context, this choice represents an innovative act, capable of giving guests back the pleasure of experiencing the local climate, which is often sacrificed in the name of international standards that pay little attention to sustainability. Emblematic of this approach is the system of external connections between the various areas of the hotel, designed to offer summer coolness and winter protection, transforming the path between buildings into a sensory experience that celebrates the surrounding landscape.

Well-being, efficiency and quality of space guide every design choice.
The project’s energy approach is based on demand reduction and optimal use of renewable sources, integrating system strategies into a complex and interconnected framework. Following user-centered design principles, user well-being is ensured by bioclimatic strategies that combine natural ventilation, green roofs, light comfort, solar shading, and a high-performance envelope that favors the use of local, low-carbon-footprint materials. Through building energy modeling (BEM) tools, the design combines strategies to elevate the quality of experience of various environments and achieve high energy savings. Systems design is centralized to optimize the synergy between the different functions —production, hospitality, spa, and offices — reducing waste and emissions. Sustainability is understood not as an ancillary element, but as a structural guideline, guiding the project throughout.
Engaged landscape and ecological balance: nature is an integral part of the architecture
Landscape design aims to restore the ecological balance of the site by enhancing biodiversity, native species, and sustainable management of water resources. Architecture and nature are integrated into a resilient system capable of reducing erosion, improving permeability, and valorizing water as a vital resource. Through farming strategies that reduce soil erosion, sustainable drainage systems, and spring restoration interventions, the project relates to the theme of water resource impetus and scarcity, recreating a connected and vivid landscape.
