A Sustainable Oasis in Puglia
GALLIPOLI – PUGLIA
The redevelopment project of La Vecchia Torre redefines the outdoor tourism experience, transforming a natural setting of extraordinary beauty into a model of contemporary and responsible hospitality.
The intervention blends seamlessly into the coastal landscape through an approach based on biophilic design, slow mobility and smart resource management, creating a tourism ecosystem where comfort, nature, and architecture coexist in perfect harmony. Permeable pavings, renewable energy and a flexible masterplan made by modular elements minimize environmental impact while enhancing the value of the pine forest, dune systems, and river areas.

A new pedestrian and cycling axis connects the glamping site with nearby beaches and services: vegetable gardens, local markets and dining areas become part of an integrated system. Elevated walkways and scenic viewpoints promote sustainable access to natural areas without disrupting their balance.

The accommodations are the core of the masterplan: conceived as modular units built off-site, easily transportable and low-impact. Constructed using natural and recycled materials and assembled dry to facilitate maintenance and reuse, they ensure a light footprint in the pine forest without invasive soil work.

Bioclimatic design—featuring large openings for natural ventilation, shade from existing vegetation, and high-performance surfaces—reduces energy consumption and improves indoor comfort, turning each unit into a true sustainable retreat.
The glamping site thus becomes an integrated ecosystem where renewable energy, water resource management, and slow mobility shape an immersive experience in nature with minimal environmental impact.

An hospitality ecosystem that combines sport, design and sustainability, offering an immersive experience in nature
Glamping La Vecchia Torre is designed as a place where nature, architecture, and well-being blend together.
A swimming pool, sports courts, open-air cinema and play areas are integrated into a network of safe, accessible spaces, designed to offer shared experiences for families and children.
Sustainability is the heart of the project: renewable energy, careful water management, permeable surfaces, and waste separation all contribute to reducing the environmental impact, while the accommodations—designed with bioclimatic principles and modular architecture—ensure natural comfort and a constant dialogue with the surrounding pine forest.
La Vecchia Torre thus becomes a model of contemporary glamping: inclusive, landscape-sensitive, and rooted in the beauty of Puglia coast.

This project embodies a new vision of outdoor hospitality: a harmonious ecosystem where sustainability becomes a daily experience, and nature is not just a backdrop—but the true protagonist of leisure living.
